How to fix Nvidia drivers in Ubuntu 12.10

Many people including myself experienced problems after installing Nvidia drivers in Ubuntu 12.10. After restart, only wallpaper can be seen. To fix it:
  1. Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T).
  2. Install linux source and headers sudo apt-get install linux-source linux-headers-generic.
  3. Remove whichever Nvidia drivers you installed sudo apt-get remove nvidia-current or sudo apt-get remove nvidia-current-updates or sudo apt-get remove nvidia-experimental-304.
  4. Reinstall Nvidia drivers sudo apt-get install nvidia-current.
  5. Restart sudo reboot.
